Today we’re hitting the Seattle scene and taking a look at the career of one of the most unique bands to come out of Seattle as we give you Alice in Chains Greatest Hits.
While their history is marred with fits and starts, triumphs and tragedies, the band were able to release 6 full length albums, 3 Eps, 3 live albums, a Greatest Hits, and a Boxed Set. On this episode, Kenneth and I will choose 15 songs each from their diverse career. Any songs duplicated automatically make the list. For our first episode of 2023 we’re ringing in the New Year with the one and only Teutonic Terrors from Solingen, Germany, otherwise known as Accept. With 16 albums, we have a lot of songs to choose from. This week we’re pitting Cinderella’s Night Songs against Tesla’s Mechanical Resonance. Cinderella from Philadelphia and Tesla from Sacramento both took America by storm in 1986/1987 and became MTV darlings in the process. Today we go song for song to see which band had the best debut. So sit back, relax and crack open a cold one as Cinderella goes head-to-head against Tesla. 2 debuts, 1 winner.

Today we are revisiting an episode we did 100 episodes ago, but we’re approaching it from a different angle. 2 years ago on Episode 18, we did KISS – Masked vs. Unmasked and we focused more on the music side of the story.  This time, we’re taking it from a more personal point of view. We’re going to look into the how’s and why’s of some of the decisions KISS made throughout their career and the consequences those decisions made. From developing their makeup, refusing to back down when other bands didn’t like their antics, replacing members, to taking off the makeup, re-energizing their career and then putting the makeup back on, it always seemed like KISS were on the brink of collapse just to rise again.
