Matt from Miami is back in the guys this week and they discuss one of the most amazing years in hard rock & metal, 1991.  Some of the most amazing albums in hard rock/metal history came out that year and we pick 5 albums each, and for you counting at home, that means 15 albums, and we discuss their merits and impact.  We also give you our BIG 4 Albums of 1991.  Seems redundant, but it's really not.  Just an extension.  So sit back, relax, turn it up to 11 and let the debate begin.

Ep. 104 - Faith No More - The Real Thing vs. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Mother’s Milk

It's 1989 and 2 of the biggest albums of the year were funk/punk/rock/metal crossover albums The Real Thing by Faith No More and Mother's Milk by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.  On this episode of Debating Metal we're going song for song, solo for solo, head-to-head to determine which of these two platinum albums we think is the better of the two.  At the end, we'll also give you a double dose of BIG 4 with FNM songs and RHCP songs.  So sit back, relax, turn it up to 11 and let the debate begin.

Ep. 103 - Rainbow Greatest Hits

On this week's episode, the guys offer their take on the greatest hits of Rainbow, featuring Ritchie Blackmore, one of the biggest influences on heavy metal guitarists in history. Ritchie's riff on "Smoke on the Water" made so many young kids pick up an electric guitar and try their hand at that riff.  But this week, Kenneth Dean and Chris each choose their 15 favorite Rainbow songs.  Whichever is duplicated, make the list.  The rest are debated to see which ones make the final 15.  Then they put the songs in concert setlist order for the ultimate Rainbow Greatest Hits.  And they also offer their BIG 4 Rainbow Alumni Songs at the end.  The qualifications to make the list was that the song had to be written by or performed by a former member of Rainbow.  So sit back, relax, turn it up to 11 and let the debate begin.

The guys this week are doing something a little different.  A few months back Revolver Magazine put out an article with their Top 10 Best 3 Album Run in Metal History and it caught the guys' eyes so they decided to tackle the subject.  So much so, they also made the BIG 4 their own Best 3 Album Run in Metal History.  So sit back, relax, turn it up to 11 and let the debate begin.
